You'll notice that most of my programs/demos are medium to large demos. The reason I spend the time to do this is to show more skill, experience, & maturity as a programmer. It requires a lot more skill to write a decent large or medium size program as opposed to a small 1, 2, or 3 screen demo program. Anyone can write really snazzy one screen demos.  But if you're a sr programmer or a supervisor who hires the programmers you know such one screen demos are mostly child's play, with "one or two skills" applied.

Since the the programming languages and work demands for today's environment keep changing I've become good in several languages (C#, ASP.Net, VB, Javascript, Access), rather than a Guru in one. And I look forward to learning and conquering the next.

Hey.. BTW, most of my Programs (mostly the VB/VC/C#) are also much faster than most Microsoft Windows  and other large software company applications!   I'm sure you can appreciate that (smile).
Any of them can easily be customized or further developed to suit your needs!   Enjoy them.  Of course a really good program takes time.  
I try to program more for functionality and ease of use (however due to time constraints most all of the samples below are incomplete, have limited or no documentation, etc.). I'm  also a pretty good writer and write good comprehensible documentation.

It's my belief that work samples are better, concrete examples of one's "ability to do a job" than an interview or cover letter.
	I must have more money...   must have more money...   must have more money...   Why should a programmer with these skills make "less than $10 an hour"?   Come on America, I must have more money! Offer me $10.50+ and I'm yours.   I dont have a degree, but I am an Honor Student , currently in school (over 100 hours completed - all A's in computer courses taken over past 12 months), have over 10 years experience (see skills) in a variety of Programming Languages, and intermediate to advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office software applications.

VC# Net sample #1:     Green0708     Version 0.94 (Beta), updated May 25, 2009.     (download both files: Green0708a.zip, Green0708b.zip ) This application is currently ideally suited for viewing and organizing your image/picture and music files, allowing you to view your pictures "while" listening to music files, setting Alarms, save/run Lists of picture/music files, maintaining Database and Favorites Lists of picture & music files, browsing your hard-drive with fast internal Multi-Folder Files Browser, etc. It can also be used as a Internet Web Browser, and program launcher. Features include: music player, Picture (graphic file) viewer, database organizer, variety of zoom/magnify levels, ability to view And listen to lists of files simultaneously, clock alarm, files explorer, etc. This program has good functionality, and shows some VC# skills (demo). I use it daily! It is not complete (BETA) but functional and "very useful". It's faster and more efficient than most Microsoft Windows and other larger vendor programs. Faster means you're more productive. BETA means under development, pre-release program. Free for examination and use.	Some Modifications/Updates to Green0708 ----------------------------------------------------------------- May 2009: - Added Lists (auto-scroll/auto-run Lists). The Lists option can be accessed via the menu: Graphics, Auto-Scroll Lists -OR- via the icon "Show Auto-Scroll Lists". Now in addition to the Database capability added in December for storing your pictures and music Files, you can also save Auto-Scroll/auto-run Lists that can be Played automatically and/or loaded into the Thu bnails page! You already had the ability to check/view just the files you wanted to run/play, but now you can Save these to a List for later playing. And the Lists can be edited or copied to new lists. To combine Lists simply save the files of one List to another List (menu option = "Save all files to New List"), entering name of List to save to. Any file currently being viewed or in the Thumbnails page can be added to any List. - Modified Zoom pad, so you can now click on an icon to zoom to 20% or 50% of original photo size, and zoom to 1x, 2x, 3x. This makes viewing your files at different zoom levels very very easy. You still have the Zoom Scale allowing zoom levels of 1x to about 20x (that's pretty big). - During Auto-Scroll a thumbnail for each picture file is now automatically saved to the Thumbnails page. So you can now easily view and navigate to the recently viewed pictures. January 2009: - Currently adding ability to play a song/s every 15 to 60 minutes (very neat). Part of this functionality can now be accessed via the Music Menu. Within the next 30 days I'll finish coding functionality to allow you to do this also with Pictures (show every 15 to 60 minutes), and to edit these timings from the Database and popup lists of Music/Pictures. - Improved database save, edit, & refreshing. - Added Thumbnails. - Added Startup Options screen & functionality to save common Folder paths to the Database, so you can retrieve them and fill a file-list with "one click", rather than having to navigate thru a hard-drive tree; also startup picture & music can be edited, and the startup picture & music will show/play when the program starts. - Improved Alarm Clock. It sounds within 1-3 seconds of the alarm time setting. Added better Alarm Time-Editing. - Added ability to save Graphic/Picture files in another Format (jpg, bmp, gif, etc). You can also Batch re-Format files - select several/many files from the Multi-FileBrowser and click "Batch Save in another Format.." from the menu. To select more than one file at a time just hold down the CTRL key while you click/select files. - Added new Multi-FileBrowser, with side by side folders allowing you to Copy or Move files between Folders -- very neat and faster than Windows File Explorer! December 2008: - Added Database capability for storing your pictures and music Files. These files can be played directly from the Database, now, rather than looking them up in one of the File Dialogs or Lists. You no longer have to search your hard-drive. Just view or listen to the file, and click the "Add current Picture/Song.." icon (located at top middle of screen). The Picture/Song will be added to the database, allowing you to save & play it anytime you want from the Database. - I've added Drag & Drop capabilities. So you can now drag/drop a Picture or Music file from the Drop-Down Files-List OR the File-Explorer window to view/listen to it. - A couple of Window Tabs have been consolidated into one Tabbed Window. They were primarily leftovers from a Class Project. All of the functionality is retained. It's just less scattered around. - The Play "only Checked" Music/Songs is now functional. So you can now select/limit the Songs you want to hear, rather than playing All song/music files in the Folder. - The AlarmClock Snooze will now add 10 minutes to the Alarm setting & show the new setting. - The AlarmClock now automatically increases the Alarm's volume; so that if you were previously listening to music at a lower volume and fell asleep (etc), the Alarm will still sound at a level that will wake you up. If you do change the volume, remember to change it from within the program (via Music Bar at bottom of screen or the Music menu). - The AutoScroll "only Checked" pictures is now functional. So you can view a list of pictures in a Folder, and Check mark only the ones you want to scroll/view. Before it would scroll All Pictures in a Folder. You can still scroll/view All Pictures in a Folder. - The Picture Scroller ("AutoScroll", for viewing al Pictures in a Folder) can now be set "before" the "Play all Songs in a Folder" is set. This allows you to auto-scroll a Folder of Pictures AND also listen to all music files in a "different Folder" at the same time! It was previously coded to allow this, but you had to select the Music Folder first, and then the Pictures Folder. Now the order doesnt matter, and you can navigate to any other Folder once you selected and started the Music or Pictures playing. Very nice MTV effect. October 2008: - Top 3 functionality: now you can add your top 3 Graphic or Music files to the Graphic or Music menus. - Added functionality allowing you to play all songs in a select Folder, while you do other things (pretty Cool). - Improved Favorites functionality. - etc.
VB.Net sample #2:     GreenJan08 This is an unfinished VB.Net program. It has some useful functions, and is an OK indicator of some of my VB.Net skills. I'm much better with VB6 than Net. Free for examination and use.
